Public encouraged to leave memorials by fallen deputy's squad car

WOODSTOCK, Ill. (WIFR) -- Members of the public are encouraged to remember McHenry County deputy Jacob Keltner by leaving a memorial by his squad car.

That car will remain parked in front of Woodstock North High School before and after the 10 a.m. funeral service.

Keltner was shot and killed Thursday while serving a warrant at the Extended Stay America hotel in Rockford. He was working with the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force.
