The Illinois Department of Transportation is looking to get ahead with pothole repairs after several winter storms in recent weeks.
IDOT says crews will be patching potholes on several Illinois expressways from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. These repairs will come during non-peak travel periods, but may cause some traffic delays.
IDOT has not released a full list of expressways that will undergo repairs. If you are driving in an area with pothole repairs, IDOT encourages you to drive cautiously and slow down.
