ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- At 12:54 a.m. on Sunday, fire crews were called to 1518 Burton Street for a house fire.

No one was home at the time of the fire. A neighbor had called saying they saw flames and heard loud noises.

Fire crews saw fire coming from the front window when they got to the scene. They were able to control the fire within about 10 minutes.

The damage to the home is estimated around $25,000, and the home can’t be lived in right now.

Investigators say the cause of the fire was incendiary, meaning a device was used to specifically spark a fire.
