ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- For elderly residents feeling the sting of struggling to get from place to place, a new service can provide some sweet relief.

The "Honey Bee's" is a brand new driving service business that's coming to the Stateline. While the group is Rockford, drivers have traveled as far away as Beloit.

The business has seven vehicles that provide delivery services and transports to clients who are elderly, have a disability or are injured. All of the employees have a background in the health field..

"Whatever they tell us they need. If there's some house-sitting we also do that to do activities," said Gernetha Bell, Honey Bees Delivery Service CEO. "We wait on them with services for them and get them back home as safely as possible"

Bell says they will wait and pick up people at doctor's appointments and pharmacies.

Honey Bee's charges only $10 for a simple ride within Rockford, and up to $50 when you include extra services.

If you would like to make an arrangement to use the Honey Bees service, call 815-494-4204.
