ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Only two weeks away from Christmas day, one seasonal study suggests there could be some room for improvement for holiday cheer in Illinois.
Illinois ranked 37th among U.S. states in Christmas spirit, according to a recent CenturyLink report.
Analysts from CenturyLink organized the rankings based on online activity and state culture over the holidays. The data factors in activity such as Google searches on Christmas trends and Christmas music streaming while also considering actions such as charitable giving.
The state of Washington ranked first in the study. Alaska finished last in the rankings.
