Hobby Lobby to open Machesney Park store

MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WIFR) - Hobby Lobby is moving into the former Machesney Park Gordman's.
The store plans to open in July in the Gateway District Shopping Center located at 1548 West Lane Road.
Village officials say approximately 35 to 50 full-time and part-time employees will be needed at the crafting and home decor store.
Hobby Lobby joins a host of new stores now opening or opening soon in Machesney Park including Rue 21, MOD Pizza and Ross Dress for Less.
Hobby Lobby plans to open 60 new locations and hire 2,500 new employees around the country in 2018.
