ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- If you love French fries, the latest information from a Harvard professor may be hard to believe.
Professor Eric Rimm says you should only eat six fries at a time as a proper portion, according to an article from the New York Times.
Rimm, who works with Harvard's Nutrition Department, says fries are "starch bombs."
According to a recent study from The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, potatoes have been linked to an increased risk of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease due to its high glycemic index
Some doctors suggest sharing a plate of fries with friends or choosing a healthier vegetable to avoid the six-fry recommendation.
