"Framing Hope" with Habitat for Humanity

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) ---- The Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity hosted its third annual Framing Hope event.

Held in the parking lot of the Argus Drive Home Depot, community members banded together to build the walls of a home, which will ultimately become the frame for one of Habitat's 2019 summer builds, which, they say, once its completed, will become a life-changing home for a family in need of safe, affordable housing.

"Our families are what motivates us to do what we do. We get to meet some of the most incredible people through our program. Hardworking dedicated families who are looking to just really create a better life for themselves and for their kid," said Keri Nelson, Habitat for Humanity, Rockford.
