ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- The Greyhound Connect Line is now making routes through the "Heart of Illinois."
The new route consists of eight stops in northern Illinois, including Rockford, Rochelle, Elgin and Chicago.
Several of the stops, including the one in Rockford, held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the adventures stateline folks will soon embark.
"They have an opportunity to go from Rockford up into Wisconsin," said Kari Wolfe, assistant director of the Lee-Ogle Transportation System. "Through different connections Greyhound is able to make, they can go all the way into Chicago."
