CHICAGO, Ill. (WIFR) - Governor Bruce Rauner continues his effort to combat the opioid epidemic by opening up a 24-hour hotline to help people addicted to opioids.

The governor says it gives people suffering from opioid addiction a confidential place to talk as well as providing resources to any family members.

“This helpline will provide a quick way for Illinoisans struggling with dangerous addictions to access resources, treatment options, and support,” Governor. Rauner said. “We are focused on helping them get on the road to recovery to combat further drug overdose tragedies.”
