ROCKFORD, Ill (WIFR) -- Nearly 800 of the stateline’s biggest movers and shakers were in the same place Thursday night learning more about the Rockford Chamber's 2020 vision.
Author and co-founder of Good Company Consulting Hannah Ubl delivered the keynote speech at the annual chamber dinner. Ubl spoke about what she calls “creating a work place that doesn't suck".
Longtime Rockford architect Gary Anderson may have to construct a trophy cabinet after he takes home the 2020 Rockford Chamber Citizen of the Year.
“Like many people I have worked in great places. I have worked in not so great places. So the motivation to create this content is from working in the not so great places. I've talked about a lot of different things but I think the core component is that I really care about people enjoying their work, and it's really clear that the Chamber cares about people enjoying their work and so I think that's why it was just a perfect mix,” said Ubl.
