Freeport teen found after missing for a week

FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Freeport teen, who had been missing for a week, was found Monday.

The Freeport Police Department says Tyranisha Sweatt, 14, was reported missing on Nov. 26. Prior to Monday, she was last seen at her home on Sunday, Nov. 24.

A family member tells 23 News she was dropped off at a Rockford Police station.

The Freeport Police Department says Tyranisha Sweatt, 14, was reported missing on Nov. 26. She was last seen at her home on Sunday, Nov. 24 around 6:30 p.m.

Police say Sweatt did not show up for school on Nov. 25 or 26.

Sweatt is described as five feet, two inches tall and 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black sweatpants, gray coat with white fur lining, burgundy and pink Victoria’s Secret backpack, and white Nike Air Force 1 gym shoes.
