Freeport man charged wtih making online threat

FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Freeport man is in custody after police say he made an online threat to kill someone.

On Tuesday, officers served Corey Havens, 31, with an arrest warrant. Havens is charged with harassment through electronic communications.

According to a criminal complaint, Havens threatened to kill someone via an electronic message. Police say the incident happened on or around January 1.

Corey Havens is in the Stephenson County Jail. His bond is set at $100,000.
