Freeport man accused of stabbing wife and step-daughter
FREEPORT (WIFR) -- A Freeport man is wanted for Attempted Murder after police say he stabbed his wife and step-daughter, before hurting himself.
It happened around 6:15am Sunday in the 1800 block of Winchester.
Police say Randy Watson stabbed his wife in the stomach and neck. She was taken to UW Madison for her injuries, but her condition is unknown at this time.
Officers say Watson also stabbed his step-daughter in the hand. Those injuries are not life-threatening.
They say Watson then stabbed himself in the neck. He is at a Rockford hospital listed in critical condition. Police say he will be arrested once he's released from the hospital.
According to court records, Watson faces charges of Criminal Sexual Assault and Sex Relations Within Families, and police say an order of protection was recently filed against him.
