Four arrested for selling cocaine in Dixon

DIXON, Ill. (WIFR) -- Four people accused of selling cocaine in Dixon were arrested Wednesday.

Vanessa M. Echartea, 43; Roaul Anderson, 42, of Rock Falls; Toniette Freeman, 41, of Rock Falls; and Lonnie McGee, 65, of Sterling were all arrested after an investigation.

Dixon police say all four suspects are connected to complaints of drug activity in the 1000 block of Highland Avenue.

Echartea, Freeman and McGee were charged with unlawful possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance within 500 feet of a school, unlawful possession with intent to deliver of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Anderson was charged with charged with unlawful possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance within 500 feet of a school and unlawful possession with intent to deliver of a controlled substance

All four suspects were taken to the Lee County Jail. They are considered innocent unless proven guilty by the court of law.
