ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) --- Former Boylan High School star quarterback Demry Croft is found not guilty of domestic battery charges.

In announcing the verdict, 17th Circuit Court Associate Judge Jennifer Clifford said there was not enough evidence to find Croft guilty.

Prosecutors accused him of trying to strangle his former girlfriend a year ago.

Croft still faces rape charges in Tennessee from an incident in December 2018. He pleaded not guilty to those charges and will be back in court in April.
