ROCKFORD, Ill (WIFR)--- The first Latino art show showcasing Latino artist from all over the Rockford region is coming to the Forest City.
Show organizers want to bring art to empty store fronts on Rockford's south side. A variety of artist ranging from visual, mixed media to photography will be part of the show.
A proclamation designating September as Hispanic Heritage month will also be on display.
"There's a lot of empty spaces here, there's a lot of potential here and people kind of look over it and I just feel this would be one way to get people out here with fresh ideas and fresh concepts and just a fresh outlook on the city," says show organizer Victor Rivera.
The show will take place at SWIFT on south Main street from six to nine Friday night. Admission is free and everyone is welcomed.
