Significant damage estimated after blaze at Beloit food manufacturer

BELOIT, Wis. (WIFR) -- Employees at Kettle Foods were able to get out quickly after a fire broke out early Friday.

Fire crews responded just after 3 a.m. in the 3100 block of Kettle Way in Beloit.

First responders found light smoke coming from smoke stacks and heavier smoke in the cooking area.

All employees were able to get out unharmed.

Damage estimates are expected to be high due to the piece of equipment that caught fire.

The cause is still under investigation.
