LOVES PARK, Ill. (WIFR) ----- Loved ones of a man killed in a car crash earlier this year will hold a fundraiser on March 15 to raise money to help his wife.

Police say 38-year-old Daniel Rauner was driving on North Alpine Road in January when a drunk driver crashed into him. His wife, Ana, hasn't worked for years and needs extra support. The benefit is from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the VFW Lodge 9759 in Loves Park on Sunday. There will be food available plus a raffle and silent auction.

"It was a great loss for us. A hard thing, but we are going through a process, and we're doing everything we can do to help our daughter in law," said Mike Rauner, Daniel’s father.
