ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- The second annual Fall for Rockford is coming up on Saturday, September 21 from 2 to 9 p.m. in downtown Rockford, and the River District Association is looking for volunteers.
The family friendly event is completely free, with live music, food vendors, local brews and a kids zone. With over 5,000 people attending last year, the River District Association anticipates year two to be even bigger, requiring more volunteers.
Groups and organizations who provide the largest amount of volunteers will even get a donation back as a thank you from the River District.
"We're looking for greeters, for the beer tent, and we also need set up and tear down as well, so there's plenty to do," said Andrea Cook, a board member with the River District Association. "You can sign up for what you're able to do as it fits in with your own schedule, and then experience it and have some fun after you're done volunteering or right before you start volunteering, so it's perfect."
