Employment company looks to fill nearly 200 jobs

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- If you're looking to make a little extra cash this holiday season finding a temporary job may not be too hard, one company says it has nearly 200 openings.

QPS Employment is hiring for everything from entry-level manufacturing jobs to higher skilled positions. Wages start at minimum wage and go up to $100,000 a year.

Managers say right now many of the jobs are with pharmaceutical and food packaging companies. Some of the positions require workers have certain skills which makes them harder to fill, so this year QPS is getting creative to help find candidates.

"We're up to $125 for a referral so if anyone refers somebody and we put them to work and they work for 160 hours then they get that money so we're pushing that really hard right now," Todd Stone, Area Manager, said.
