ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) ----- Young and old took to the streets to celebrate the magic at Rockford’s 11th annual Fairy Festival on Saturday.
Fairies of all shapes and sizes spent their day enjoying a whole host of fun activities, including making fairy crowns, wand and necklace making and fairy house decorating.
"The goal of this event is obviously to make the community a better place and just to really liven up the community as it is. It's just to bring family and the community together and enjoy nature and the weather while its nice, and just celebrate being a kid," said Emma Lai.
People came dressed as their favorite fairy, gnome, sprite, elf or dragon and enjoyed a dazzling performance from the Rockford Dance Company.
