Dixon man jumps into action to save driver having seizure

DIXON, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Dixon man is being called a hero after literally jumping into the window of a moving car to save someone who was having a seizure behind the wheel.

Dixon Police say two of their officers were patrolling around 4th Ave. and Galena Ave. just after 4 Saturday afternoon. That's when the officers say they noticed a blue car going through red lights and almost hitting other cars and tried to pull the blue car over.

A man driving a truck in the area notices the driver is having a medical emergency. That's when he gets out of his truck and hops into the car through the passenger window to try to stop the car. The man was able to stop the car and stayed with the driver until paramedics arrived.
