Discovery Museum celebrates Star Wars Sunday

Today was Star Wars Sunday at the Discovery Center Museum, and families had the chance to transport to a galaxy far, far away.

Visitors could learn the ways of the force to help Yoda and Princess Leia battle the empire. They could even try their hand at some Jedi skills and tour the cosmos.

Visitors were encouraged to wear galactic attire. There were also people in Star Wars costumes for great photo opportunities.

"They're actively engaged as a family. That's why we have events like this, to pulling people from the community, from the surrounding areas and let them know that playing is learning," said Discovery Museum Director of Education and Programs Corinne Sosso.
