FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Stephenson County deputy has been sent to a hospital after a crash involving a squad car, authorities tell 23 News.
The crash happened on North Walnut Street in the Freeport area. It was a head-on crash involving a squad car, which followed a chase on Walnut between Clark Street and Galena Avenue, according to the Stephenson County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office says the driver and passenger in the other car refused medical treatment. Both were arrested for warrants unrelated to chase and crash. The driver and passenger could face additional charges, according to the sheriff's office.
Authorities are currently investigating the area.
