ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- If you're already in the holiday spirit, the Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau wants your help.
Locals are encouraged to help transform downtown Rockford into a Winter Wonderland ahead of the seventh annual Stroll on State.
Volunteers can go to Santa's Workshop, located in the 300 block of South Winnebago Road, where they will be assigned to various decoration zone teams.
You can help decorate Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m.
Organizers say the event grows each year, making the need for volunteers that much more urgent.
"There are so many different activities that are happening during Stroll on State," says Tana Vettore, RACVB director of destination development. "Whether it's music, Santa, S'mores and ice skating, there's so much to do. It's bigger and better than last year."
Stroll on State is set for Nov. 30. The event kicks off with a parade at 2 p.m. and runs through 9 p.m.
