Deadly Cedarville bar shooting court trial begins

FREEPORT, Ill (WIFR) -- Trial is underway for the double murder of two Freeport men at the Cedar Inn Bar back last winter.

Devin Marcum pled not guilty to all charges back in February. He is accused of shooting three people, two who were killed, at Cedar Inn Bar on Feb. 3, 2019.

Kyle Tucker, 35 and Shaun Bradbury, 36, were shot and killed, while Michael Steinhauser, survived after he was shot.

Steinhauser testified Tuesday alongside other witnesses, including Corrie Lipka, the bartender the night of the incident.

Through tears Lipka said, "It's ruined my life, I don't want to go anywhere, I don't want to do anything."

The trial will continue Wednesday with more witnesses expected to testify.

Marcum faces several charges, including four counts of first degree murder, one count for attempted murder, one count of aggravated battery with a firearm, one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm, and one count of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
