BELVIDERE, Ill. (WIFR) – Belvidere Police say a fatal apartment fire back in March is suspicious. They say they now need our help to find the person who may have set it.

On Friday night, March 10, 2017, a fire broke out at this 3 story apartment complex at 819 West Jackson Street. 36-year-old Melissa Darling died of smoke inhalation and several other people including children were hospitalized. The cause of the fire is undermined, but Belvidere Police say the fire is suspicious and their investigation is ongoing.
