Fire in former Willows on Main building causes $120K in damage
A fire in the former Willows on Main nursing home building caused $120,000 worth of damage.
Crews were called to the building in the 1900 block of North Main Street around 9 p.m. Saturday for a smoke investigation.
At first, there was only a fire on the first floor, but it later spread to the second floor.
It took around an hour and 20 minutes for crews to put the fire out.
Fire crews called in heavy machinery to help them control the fire. A portion of North Main Street was blocked off during that investigation.
An excavator was used to demolish certain sections of the building to help control the fire.
No one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
