ComEd assistance available to help customers with winter bills

CHICAGO, Ill. (WIFR) - This year's frigid temperatures are keeping our furnaces on overtime causing many electric bills to rise. ComEd says it is opening up assistance to help some families keep up with winter bills.
Through the Future Energy Jobs Act, ComEd customers may be eligible for part of $10 million in available care grants.
The program is open to military families, veterans, seniors and families facing financial hardships.
ComEd customers can apply for several financial assistance programs at www.comed.com/care or call 1-888-806-2273.
