Cocaine, cannabis, cash recovered in Rockford drug bust

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A 45-year-old Rockford man was arrested after a weeks-long drug investigation.

Dale Sims, 45, is accused of drug dealing near his home in the 1300 block of Revell Avenue.

Detectives identified Sims as a suspect after several citizen complaints regarding drug sales. Police obtained and executed warrant at his home.

Investigators from the Rockford Police Department Narcotics Unit recovered more than 100 grams of cocaine during the search, in addition to cannabis and cash.

Sims was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine (100-400 grams). He is being held in Winnebago County Jail.

Sims is considered innocent unless proven guilty by the court of law.
