Club Blue Rockford hosts holiday pop-up shop

ROCKFORD, Ill (WIFR) -- One local organization is working to raise funds to provide goods and services to children in our community who need it most.

Club Blue Rockford held its very first holiday pop up shop at Forest Hills Country Club where dozens of local vendors came together to provide a one stop shopping experience. Guests could check off everything they need on their Christmas lists. Club Blue is raising money for its big event coming in this spring that benefits charities that support children in need.

“This just pairs getting all of your holiday shopping done in one place with these fantastic local vendors. We really have a great representation, there's such a great energy right now in Rockford and it’s fun to see the community come together not only to support the children in need which is our main mission, but also to support our local vendors,” board member of Club Blue Kristin Hatch.

Club Blue says the turnout at the pop up shop exceeded its expectations and hopes to continue it in the future. In 2019, the club plans to support Merit and Children's Home and Aid.
