Civil War Monument Moved & Re-dedicated

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A Civil War memorial finds a new home after sitting in the same spot for nearly nine decades.

A five gun salute and cannon firings helped commemorate the event. The memorial boulder is now at the triangle plot at Bolivin and Ellsworth in the Churchill's Grove neighborhood. A flag pole holding a 35 star flag was also put in place.

The neighborhood was the site of Camp Fuller during the Civil War which served as a training ground for several infantry regiments.
