FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Chicago woman is accused of using fake documentation in an attempt to acquire prescription drugs from a Freeport Walgreens.
Nancy Shaw, 31, faces felony charges for forgery and unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance.
Police say Shaw requested a prescription for 90 30mg pills of Oxycodone to pharmacy personnel at the Walgreens at 835 W. Galena Avenue on Nov. 14.
A pharmacy staff member told Shaw she needed to call the issuing physician to confirm the prescription. She left the store, then investigators determined that the prescription order was fake.
Shaw was arrested by the Chicago Police Department on Nov. 30. She was transported to the Stephenson County Jail on Dec. 3.
She is being held at the Stephenson County Jail on a $40,000 (10%) bond.
