ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Start your engines, the Rockford auto show is revving into high gear, finishing out its week at Cherryvale mall.
For more than 30 years, fans from all across our region get their car fix seeing more than 100 new cars, s-u-v-s, trucks and vans in some of the year's newest and hottest colors.
For those who get inspired to buy a new vehicle, salespeople from area dealerships are on-site ready to answer any questions. Continuing the special tradition, an annual 10-thousand dollar donation is also awarded to a local charity.
"These cars are, in a sense, almost driving themselves. You know, all of these safety features that are put in place now on a lot of these new cars, is really making it very convenient and giving that piece of mind to a lot of people that are on the road today,” Ryan Savos from Anderson Toyota said. “The safety features are very important to the people as far as the lane assist, the adaptive cruise control, are very, very important to people."
If you haven't had the chance to head down and check out the cars you still have one more day with the show wrapping up on Sunday.
