CHERRY VALLEY, Ill. (WIFR) - The Cherry Valley Police Department partners with the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois State Police for the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign this holiday season.

Now through January 2, police will increase patrol to search for drivers under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

The department says 28% of those who died in vehicle crashes last year died in accidents involving a drunk driver.

Police will also be looking out for people who are not wearing their seatbelt and issuing tickets.
