Cargo numbers last year climbed to more than 2.3 billion pounds, which is 11 percent higher than 2018. Airport leaders say in just five years, RFD tripled the amount of cargo landing in the Forest City.
Much of the cargo flowed through the UPS hub - the second largest North American hub for the company.
Passenger service jumped 7.5 percent in 2019, with almost 250,000 travelers taking off or landing at RFD.
