Duane "DC" Meyer, 37, was arrested Wednesday morning without incident.

Meyer is accused of setting a house fire that killed his ex-wife Maggie, 31, and his son Amos, 3 on Oct. 19, 2016. Authorities say it happened in the 2000 block of Silverthorn Avenue.

Meyer was charged with four counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated arson, one count of concealing a homicidal death.

The Ogle County Sheriff's Office investigated the fire for 18 months along with local authorities, state authorities and the FBI. A grand jury returned an indictment on Tuesday leading to Meyer's arrest.

Meyer was in possession of a loaded firearm during the time of his arrest. He was taken to the Ogle County Jail on a $10 million bond.
