(WIFR) -- A Byron graduate is now serving overseas as a third-class damage controlman.

Myles Newhouse has inspected a tank level indicator for the listing tanks aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69).

The carrier, also known informally as Ike, departed for flight deck certification as part of the Optimized Fleet Response Plan.
