ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Lincoln Middle School takes rock-and-roll twist to promote good behavior, led by a famous musician with Rockford ties.
Bun E. Carlos, the original drummer of Cheap Trick, kicked off a new program at the school called "Positive Behavior Interventions And Support."
Carlos led a drum show and offered a pep talk in front of dozens of students.
As a graduate of Lincoln, Carlos says the high-energy event aims to promote inclusiveness at his old grounds.
"It's a bit rewarding to come back here and talk to the kids," says Carlos. "I never dreamed I would be up there talking to them, getting applause from the students. It's a real thrill for me to be here."
