WASHINGTON (WIFR) – Britax is recalling 207,000 infant car seats after the company says the chest clip can break, posing a choking hazard to children.

The recall affects the B-Safe 35, B-Safe 35 Elite, and the BOB B-Safe 35 travel systems and includes dozens of model numbers. The recalled car seats were made between November 1, 2015 and May 31, 2017 and sold at Babies R Us, Target, Walmart, and other stores nationwide and online for around $200.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, two complaints were filed about the clips cracking, but the company says no choking injuries have been reported.

Those who have the recalled safety seats can get a free kit to replace the chest clip. The company says the new clip is more durable. Owners can call Britax at 1-833-474-7016 or visit
