UPDATE: Man found in Freeport's Yellow Creek identified

UPDATE: FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) - Freeport police say the man found dead in Yellow Creek Tuesday was a 45-year-old Freeport man.

Investigators say 45-year-old Timothy Kuehl's cause of death will be determined after an autopsy. Police say there was no sign of foul play with the body.

A toxicology report will be available in three weeks.

FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) - A body has been pulled from Yellow Creek near Freeport’s Krape Park.

Freeport police say a white man was found just before 1 p.m. near the Demeter Drive walking bridge.

At this time the identity of the person has not been released. We will continue to update you as we learn more.

Police say they are treating the investigation as suspicious.
