ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Rockford's 48th Boat, Vacation, and Fishing Show continues at the indoor sports center at Mercyhealth Sportscore Two.
Organizers say there was something for just about everyone in the family to enjoy.
Kids could try to catch a fish in the trout pond for free. There was a Hawg Trough Fish tank filled with fish, and educational opportunities as well.
Visitors could watch professionals demonstrate fishing lures or learn how to cast a line. Another favorite was the minnow races.
"The best part about this show is it's everything under one roof. So everybody can come out, you can see many different boat dealers - instead of traveling a hundred miles, you get to see them underneath one roof. If you're looking for fishing, it's all here as well. Get the latest, newest tackle, book your fishing resort, guides, charter boat, you got it all under one roof, you don't gotta go anywhere else,” said show producer Andrew Rotolo.
The show will continue Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. It costs $6 for adults and is free for kids.
