BELVIDERE, Ill. (WIFR) -- The Belvidere Police Department invites the public to attend its upcoming "Citizen's Police Academy" event next month.
The annual event returns on Wednesday, Feb. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. Officers have held the event since 1998 to connect with the community and offer an extended look into modern police practices.
Police will cover several topics, including criminal scene investigations, use of force, DUI enforcement and department structure.
The event is free to attend. Police are also looking to fill vacancies for this year's event.
