BELVIDERE, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Belvidere man was convicted for an armed robbery at a Murphy USA gas station in 2017.

Authorities say Tayvionne Fleming, 26, was one of two people who robbed the gas station, located at 2005 Gateway Center Drive, at gunpoint on August 11, 2017.

Fleming and the other suspect reportedly took off with cash and cigarettes while wearing masks and gloves.

A few weeks later, a witness came forward with information leading to the arrest of Fleming and his partner Daniel Malinowski, a 24-year-old Belvidere man.

Fleming is set to be sentenced on Friday, Sept. 13. He faces up to 30 years in prison.

Malinowski’s case remains pending at this time.
