Beloit Memorial High School chooses interim principal

Emily Pelz has been chosen as the interim principal at Beloit Memorial High School.

Pelz replaces Dr. Orlando Ramos, who resigned from the position after being placed on administrative leave earlier this year. The district says his leave was over a "personnel matter."

Pelz will also retain her role as Executive Director of Special Education while she finishes the 2018-19 school year as interim principal. The Beloit School District says they will work with Emily to develop a transition plan.

UPDATE: Dr. Orlando Ramos resigns from his position as principal at Beloit Memorial High School.

He previously was placed on administrative leave as part of a "personnel matter."

The school district says it will release a plan regarding an Interim Principal by the end of the week.


The Beloit School District tells 23 News that Dr. Orlando Ramos, principal of Beloit Memorial High School, has been placed on administrative leave.

The district says the decision is part of a "personnel matter."

Ramos took over as principal at Beloit Memorial High School on July 16. The district says no further information will be forthcoming.
