Auburn CAPA Choir raising money for New York

ROCKFORD, Ill, (WIFR) -- One of the world's most famous venues could soon have a little Rockford flavor to it. But, in order for the Auburn CAPA Choir Program to perform at New York’s Carnegie Hall, they have to raise some funds to get there.

The Auburn CAPA Choir rocked out the Rockford School Board meeting this week. With an outstanding acapella version of stand by me, the group performs singing telegrams to help reach its $10,000 fund raising goal. They are about halfway towards that total and have set up a go fund me page to try and get over that hump. A recent video upload to Facebook already has over 30 thousand views.
