ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Sunday morning attic fire in Rockford causes about $18,000 in damages, according to the Rockford Fire Department.
The Department responded to a house in the 2900 block of 16th Street for a house fire around 10 a.m. on Sunday. The first unit on scene said smoke was showing from the roof. Crews said they completed a search inside the home and confirmed no one was inside. Firefighters then discovered a fire in the attic of the home and quickly brought it under control.
No injuries were reported in this fire and the cause is under investigation at this time.
