ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- The Rockford Fire Department suspects arson as the cause of a Rockford house fire on North Main earlier this morning.
Firefighters were called to the house at 3729 North Main around 7:15 a.m. Officials say all people in the home evacuated safely prior to crews arriving.
The fire was put out in about 10 minutes. It caused about $20,000 in damages, and the house was considered uninhabitable.
The people in the house were relocated by Stepping Stones of Rockford staff. The investigation for the fire is ongoing.
