Armed robber steals wallet, phone from man on Medford Drive

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Rockford Police are looking for a man who allegedly pointed a gun at a man and took his belongings Thursday morning in east Rockford.

Police say no one was hurt, but an armed suspect took off with a 41-year-old man's wallet, phone and shoes.

The victim told police he was sitting in his car outside his home in the 800 block Medford Drive when he was robbed. The suspect allegedly pulled up behind his car around 3:45 a.m. and pointed a gun at the victim during the robbery.

Police say the suspect vehicle is a small burgundy pick-up truck. The suspect is described as a black man between 25-35 years old, about 5 feet, 9 inches and 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black hoodie, dark-colored jogging pants and a facemask.
